Hello & Welcome!

My name is Denise, and I am the proud owner/operator of Top Dog Gear. I am involved in all aspects of the operation, whether designing the website, fulfilling orders, or talking to you! I started Top Dog Gear after discovering BioThane^® collars for my dogs, Kali & Lucy. I loved the material so much I began to research and invest time into new products and ideas.

I have two dogs and a horse. My family dog, Lucy is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever - she has never slowed down and is always up for an adventure. Three years ago, I bought home my dog, Kali, a Golden Retriever/German Shepard mix, on a whim after a quick search on Kijiji. She came into my life at the perfect time and has fit into our family wonderfully. She is a high-energy dog who loves to run and swim. Lastly, my horse Teddy is an 18-year-old thoroughbred gelding who I have had for ten years now! He is tall, dark and handsome. He loves dogs and does so well with all our shenanigans! 

During the pandemic, I became an avid outdoorsman. I fell in love with hiking and spending time in the great outdoors. While on these adventures, it became clear the dogs needed a collar that was durable, waterproof, stink-proof and required little maintenance. Then I came across the product BioThane^®, and the rest is history.
