Measuring:

Dogs, like people, are all unique and come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Here are a few steps to ensure that appropriate measurements are gathered and that the perfect collar is created:

Measuring your Dogs Neck:

  1. Measure a few inches behind his head and add an inch for extremely small dogs or two inches for medium and large dogs. (#1)
  2. Make a snug but not too tight fit with a tape measure. (If you don't have a tape measure, use a piece of string and a firm ruler to measure the string.)

How to Measure Your Dogs Neck - Youtube Video

Measuring your Dogs Current Collar:

  1. Remove your dog's existing collar and lay it flat.
  2. Take a measurement from the buckle's centre to the present sizing hole or adjustment.

Collar Fit:

  1. You should be able to slide two fingers under a correctly fitting collar and your dog's neck when it's on his neck. If there is extra room, go down a size. The collar is too small if both fingers don't fit.

* If you're ordering a Martingale or a Slip collar, make sure you measure at point #2 in the image above as well to ensure the size you choose fits within the range of these two measures.

* If you're ordering a Dominant Dog Collar or ECollar Strap, make sure you measure at point #2
